Current Events

TrumpetCongratulations to our All-State Students! - Congratulations to Sarah Pool, Ariel Sage and Andrew Wadley for their selection as 2010 All-State musicians. This is Sarah and Ariel's second year and Andrew's third year. We are extremely proud of them!

Snare DrumSolo and Ensemble Contest - All students will be participating in the UIL Solo and Ensemble Contest on February 27 at Martin High School. We are currently helping students select solos and ensembles. All students will play a solo at contest. The only exception to this would be if a student is ineligible per UIL rules. If a student is ineligible, they will play their solo for the class and have an additional assignment to complete for their grade. Everyone is expected to purchase their own music. Most solos cost less than $10; many less than $5. Photocopies are not allowed under UIL rules and are a violation of Federal Copyright Law. We will send home infomation on where and how to purchase solos.

Dollar Sign Money Collection - Please remember that money is collected on Tuesday and Thursday mornings before school only. This ensures we can keep accurate records and make deposits in a timely manner. Thank you for your help in this matter.
